About Us

The Empowered Teens Coalition was first founded in 2013, with the creation of the Chimacum Empowered Teens Coalition. Port Townsend's ETC was founded in 2018 and Quilcene/Brinnon ETC in 2021.

Each Coalition is led by members of community organizations, parents, and youth.

Each member:

  • Lends their diverse perspective and helps to guide the coalition's actions

  • Attends coalition meetings and helps support coalition events and trainings

  • Actively participates in prevention activities and strategies

  • Helps the coalition monitor the community with methods like the Healthy Youth Survey

What is CPWI?

Each prevention coalition is funded through a Community Prevention and Wellness Initiative (CPWI) grant provided by the Washington State Healthcare Authority (HCA).
